Traditional place, appreciated it. We booked double room and it was air-conditioned. There's lots of restaurants to choose from, like Pane & Pomodoro, set within 5 minutes walk or so.

Strongly recommend it and we will choose it for sure for next trip. Loved incredible staff and views of the hotel. Sassi di Matera is a district that deserves exploring...
